My strengths:
I would say my greatest strength is creative thinking, I will take a lesson and make it fun for my students and get their attention. My strengths not only include creative thinking but also discipline and determination. In my experience as a teacher’s assistant, I saw that even the smallest determination in a teacher can change a student’s perspective on the lesson. This, of course, will give the student goals, and teach them patience. Then, there is also communication skills that I have on my list. Listening is the key to communication skills, without listening you won’t be able to meet the student’s needs for the lesson. My next strength is leadership, in my 6 years of work experience I have often succeeded in taking charge of a situation and delivering the best solution. I can adapt to any situation; I feel when you adapt in a situation you always learn something new about yourself and that experience can help you in the long run. Even though my greatest strength is creative thinking I still always manage to be professional and confident in my teachings.
Course Features:
I have experience in teaching students from ages 6-12, preparing them for English classes and creating a foundation for the start of their next phase, or assisting them with the grades they are in at the moment. I also make a point of listening to the problems they experience in their studies and find solutions. To sum up the course features, with my knowledge and skills I promote the importance of a good education and my goal is to transfer this to my students in a fun filled classroom.
My teaching style consists of a prepared lesson, with opportunity for questions and only sign off once the student is completely satisfied and confident that he/she understands the lesson. Cancellation of lessons, 12 hours prior to the lesson with a valid reason for the cancellation. This must be followed by a confirmation of a rescheduled lesson as to not disrupt the course.
